Hi All, I have an existing offer and have cracked another interview, HR of this company has asked the offer letter of the recently cracked company to counter offer. Can I share it? There won't be any problem right? Please help
Walk away but don't threaten them. You have the most leverage when you have the option to walk away in negotiations. Don't threaten. Just tell them that if I share other companies'offer letters with you then nothing is stopping me from sharing your offer letter with other companies and get a higher comp somewhere else. I'd like to keep my integrity. And use moral high ground to deny sharing the offer letter or any such details.
Umm.. This doesn't seem necessary.. If author is keen on staying in current company they can share.. If they want they can blur our HR email ID for privacy etc.. But this is how comp shopping usually happens.. So it's normal. How else will HR try to retain you. One can happily say they got 1 cr package... But need to back it up no with proof 😜

Yes no problem, it is pretty much the norm. Just ask them if they are willing to match the offer or exceed it, if you send that. If they are willing to give what you are expecting, then send it, you don’t have much of a choice, it is a well known practice.

I have informed the other organisation that I will share just the compensation breakup snippet but they are insisting to share the complete offer letter.
