How is TCS, a Tata brand involved in many litigation cases?
Wondering if the Tata ethics are lost after Ratan Tata stepped down. I remember Tata under legendary JRD and Ratan used to value corporate ethics over predatory capitalism. But nowadays TCS is being fined in US & European courts. what’s going on with TCS.
Ratan Tata's image is thoroughly cleaned through his PR
Yepp just like humble murti from rajyasabha. This guy seems beyond evil to me. Just like that buddhi aurat from mungi lia who makes news for spending 1000s of crores on gendaswami's wedding and donating 10crores to charity their pr teams work overtime to compensate for this and call them "humble" in those weird instagram posts. So many things happen to TCS employees, no salary increment, no benefits, and just bad treatment from seniors. Ratan Tata's image is just cleaned with alcohol based sanitizer which doesn't allows us to see how many stains are there. If anything bad comes up about tata companies, you'll see next whole week his donations post which says "humble" These guys are beyond evil for me. Don't fall for their pr posts and articles on news channels. If you don't believe me, there was a linkedin or reddit post about some influencer who was called during gendaswami's wedding and told to make a reel on why his wedding is beneficial for economy of India, I don't remember exact number but he was being paid 2-3 lakhs for this campaign I guess. We are all being manipulated by them. Even in comments some people will take these rich crook people's sides. Even during current ganesh chaturthi, motabhai's wife is throwing prasad to people in crowd. Their pr teams say they are staunch hindus, idk any hindu who would throw the prasad. If I did the same or anyone in my area, my parents would've thrown me out of home and disown me from property. This family is just super annoying with their attention seeking disorders. And btw before worshipper of these billionaires says that ratan donated more 60% of his wealth to charity. He donated it to his own charity. He is worth more than $80-90 billion dollars. Yes that's correct, it's the classic old technique of saving the wealth so these guys can pass their wealth to their children without any inheritance taxes, technique invented by John D Rockefeller. Tata family did same thing, even other families. Ratan donated 60% of his stocks , not his whole wealth. His trust , tata sons is worth around $200bn and majority shares owned by another trust jrd and ratan tata trust (idr the name, but it something like this only). These trusts are really good at deceiving us. They earn tons of money every year through dividend income and only donate around 5% of it to real charities or NGOs to do the work. Bezos and gates family does the same things. But americans already know and catch these guys in their "humble" act. Only us Indians are easily deceived because of their pr. These guys donate to their own charities and get tax benefits while we are paying 30-35% taxes. While they easily spend it without any intervention or calls from it department. P.s. I gave rough numbers of values above, so don't cry about "getting facts right" in the comments, the post is about trusts and other ways billionaires use to avoid taxes and how we're screwed by system.
Summary: Book “the Story of TATA”
The TATAs are known for starting businesses on the principles of philanthropy( being a Parsi following Zoroastrian faith) This book covers how Cyrus Mistry(having his forefathers organisation SP Group holding 19.2% shares in TATA) was apppointed as the Chairman and was the shortest Chairman to be in the board, being fired by TATA just after 4 years(Nov 2011 - Sept 2016). He was fired of having personal interests to route business from TATA’s to his forefathers company SP Group of which Mistry was a 50% shareholder - thus not visioning for company’s best interests but his. Natarajan Chandrasekaran(CEO of TCS - TATA’s organisation within IT umbrella) was a probable candidate but was shrugged off by the board considering he looked after TCS - the highest revenue generating business in TATA’s cap. Chandra(Natarajan Chandrasekaran) was now appointed as Chairman. The TATA could not continue as a family empire because kids could not be born to leading faces of TATA, unfortunately. But being Parsis and following certain Parsi rules, kids were adopted from extended families. Ratan Tata is son-of-the-first-wife of Naval Tata(adopted by Navajbai Sett). Ratan Tata’s parents got divorced when he was 3YO, and he has been raised by his step grandmother thus. JRD Tata was not a direct heir to TATA group either.
