What do I do? 🤢

Hi Guys, in need of some good advice. I have been with Oracle for 3 years now in the same IC2 role with my CTC being 20LPA. I now have gotten an offer from IBM and they are offering me 28lpa. After taxes it would be close to 24.5 Lpa. Also IBM doesn’t provide cab services either. I am honestly confused if I have to move to IBM(not a purely product based company). Also how can I convince my manager to retain me considering my new offer and to revise my salary to match my offer and give me that promotion which is due for years now.

Oracle to IBM ain’t a good switch, plus IBM has a 90 day notice period which will ruin your chances of switching to better companies. Try bagging an offer from an equivalent product company (SAP, Salesforce, Intuit, Paypal etc or any SASS company) and ask your manager for a pay revision

I second that, in fact IBM laid off a few of my ex-colleagues in oracle without a warning. Instead switch to a product based MNC.
