Struck in Amazon background verification need help

Hey I need your help if anyone can help me I'm explaining my situation here: I was selected for a role at Amazon and submitted all required documents, including a relieving letter from my previous employer, Decathlon. However, during the background verification process, Amazon claimed they received written confirmation from Decathlon stating that my relieving letter was not genuine.

This was shocking so I immediately contacted my former manager at Decathlon, who confirmed that he had not received any calls or emails from Amazon or the background verification agency (first advantage ). That’s when I realized I had submitted his correct phone number but an incorrect email ID, as I hadn’t been in contact for over a year. If Amazon did email him, it would’ve bounced yet they still claimed to have received confirmation from Decathlon, which doesn’t make sense. Also this Amazon I was before employed on a contractual tole and now they converting me to full time blue badge employee and they have done it because of my contract role in Amazon and not because of my experience in decathlon and this Amazon contractual was my first full time job. Story continues

Once I spoke to my decathlon manager and explained the situation, he sent me a written confirmation verifying my employment. That’s when I matched the correct email ID and realized the mistake in my original submission. Then I this to the recruiting guy in Amazon that the email was wrong but phone no was correct but as per manager in decathlon he didn't receive any from Amazon for background verification.

Even after this, Amazon asked for additional documents like my offer letter, EPFO history, full and final settlement, etc., and continued referring to my Decathlon experience as full-time—despite me clearly marking it as part-time in the background verification portal.

When I checked my PF history, I noticed the date of joining there (5 Nov 2022) was different from what was written in the first relieving letter (28 Oct 2022). I also discovered that I had two employee IDs during my time at Decathlon: • DPITP0027 (Temporary Part-Time, from 5 Nov 2022 to 31 Jan 2023) • DP10115 (Permanent Part-Time, from 1 Feb 2023 to 31 Dec 2023)

Decathlon had originally combined both tenures into a single relieving letter, which may have caused confusion. Once I explained all of this to them, they issued two updated relieving letters—one for each employment ID and with correct DoJ as per EPFO time period. According to them, both letters are valid and accurate. But I still don’t know what Amazon’s background verification team will say.

If you are someone from HR or the hiring team, please help me. I am genuinely stuck. I have provided every document I could, done everything in my capacity, and yet I am left in limbo. Will this be cleared? Will I lose the job I worked so hard to get? Should I start applying elsewhere again?

This entire experience has left me mentally drained. It's painful to see all this happen because of technicalities and communication gaps. I’m only asking for a fair chance for someone to actually look at the facts instead of rejecting them on the basis of automated systems. Please help or guide me if you can.

Ohh man, it is bad. Hope someone validates it manually.
Another reminder to double/triple check the details when you submit them for crucial processes.

I would suggest to keep searching elsewhere as well, just incase. Who knows, you might even get a better offer than Amazon

But first problem that I didn't checked my EPFO and another is that the dates were messed up by decathlon I have just provided what was given to me by them. Wasn't aware that this kuch drama will happen😭

Amazon has a robust screening team. There will be manual intervention in such cases. Don't worry, this should be resolved soon. As long as you provide genuine justification, you are good. Feel free to comment if you face any consequences eventually.

Reach out to the recruiter, ask for help else ask to connect with BGV team. Manual check will definitely clear your way as long as the story is valid. Good luck, dont panic..

Simple solution for your pblm is Ask Amazon HR verification dept to write a email to your previous employer or phone them to get more clarity abt it. Besides you can ask your former company HR to give you a letter to that effect stating all matters & they have no objections what so ever for your employment with Amazon at what ever role that you are comfortable & selected for. If these things don't work, then simply apply online or choose best HR consultancy firm in your city find a lucrative career employment opportunity for you. Amazon is not just only company in the world as there are plenty others better than Amazon where you can still make your presence felt when you have postive professional commitment & strong desire to work & grow.

It would be a manual verification by BGV, it happened to me but in a different way. I'm fresher and I have to verify my college certificates where I have sent in the wrong format. They're asking in correctly but repeatedly I'm sharing the same way as previously for 3 times. Later I contacted the BGV team and they explained to me how I should share actually. After that my verification completed successfully. This happened to me two years ago, hoping it's still the same way they'll do. Reach out to the BGV team they will take care of it.
