Don't attemp to make others happy till the time time you learned how to make yourself happy.
Knowing following may help you to achieve this:
- Dopamine is released when you see novelty, dopamine will eventually stop releasing when novelty is gone.
Most social media apps know this, they try to keep the novelty flowing.
Observe how you feel when there is no novelty, and adjust your baseline.
- Know that you are consumption machine. You consume love, money, time, food etc ..
Ask yourself what you are consuming making you happy?
- Draw a venn diagram - to identify what makes you happy, what won't give you happiness as of now, each circle representing one are of live.
The intersection tell you what you really need.

When it comes to personal life plan big goals, celebrate small wins. When it comes to office / professional/ financial goals use SMART tool for goal setting.

Maintain 2 backlogs, personal & professional backlogs. When an idea comes to you, add to backlog. Don't act on it immediately.

Move your idea to ToDo list, only and only if you think you can commit atleast 3 months to it. Otherwise, ignore, don't delete from backlog.

Always timebox your tasks. Timebox your health, wealth, professional, family activities. Respect all these activities and the time allocated for them. Ensure you attend each activity and get a small win in each time box. You will get your Dopamine spike.

If your timebox is full, that means you have to prioritise if new tasks comes. So, always have a slot in your timebox for purpose of prioritisation & re-aligning. But without updating time box, don't start. Initially it may be irritating, but once you see the benefit - you will appreciate.

Celebrate your big wins with family & friends by organising a get together. Some can be gratitude based like doing a pooja at home and some can be parties.
This will be make others also happy.
