Joining Amdocs was a very bad decision for me. I joined as an experienced QA and stayed for 2.5 years. From the start, they did not provide proper KT for the project, yet expected me to understand the functionality and deliver results. I was the only QA assigned to six epics, handling both manual and automation tasks.
Just when I started understanding the project, they abruptly moved me to another one. Over my time there, I worked on 4–5 different projects, each with an overwhelming workload. They expected me to work more than 12 hours daily, and when I raised this concern with my manager, I was told, “This is how it is.”
Despite working for 2.5 years, I never received an appraisal. When I asked about it, my manager assured me that I would get one, but just a day before it was due, he called me and terminated my employment, citing a lack of client funding for my position.
Working at Amdocs was frustrating. Senior managers treat employees like we work for them rather than company. Even if you perform well, there is no appreciation—only pressure to deliver the next task. If you have other options, I strongly recommend choosing a different company. I had three other offers when I selected Amdocs, and I regret my decision.
