I developed an API that basically took inputs from a webform and loaded it into Salesforce (I have oversimplified here).
While testing , one of the fields was "website", I simply typed "www.rk.com" which were the initials of my pet doggo. The test went well, data got loaded into Salesforce. I then get pinged by the multiple people that rk.com is a porn site and multiple people while verifying the test results ended up clicking on the link and got flagged by the IT security team for watching porn on office laptop🤣 .

It was an honest mistake nonetheless, but very horrifying for me🙈

Wtf 😳 This happened to me at my first job at a startup (Series B/C). Founder messaged that they are going to have lunch, so I can join along if available.

I was busy working on another thing so I just said I’m caught up with XYZ work, and will join as soon as it wraps up. (I thought work is the most important, not having lunch with them)

Suddenly got a call from the cofounder asking wtf I’m doing that’s more important than a lunch with the CEO.

Anyway, I abandoned work, left for lunch. Later got to know they termed it a CLM aka ‘career limiting move’

Joined this company as a campus hire. Assigned to a project where I was kept on standby doing nothing basically for 6 months , suddenly I was given production access for etl loads monitoring. Did a few mistakes so my team lead started scolding that how come even after 1 year I didn’t learn anything. Now how could I say wasn’t given KT regarding these things. Now manager contacted me saying my performance is low I told him I am not liking the work and need a team change. Said can’t do anything. Now yesterday again an incident happen which was partially my fault team lead again scolded.
Now I am confused am I stupid or is my work toxic?? I am so depressed here I really cried last night

A friend was leaving the company and he sent an email to our org mailer. I accidentally replied all something like "Need a party with the fat Amazon joining bonus you're getting" in Hindi. Word chomu also might have been used.

Emailed the CPO about my head of product (I was a PM reporting to HoP) about how bad the hop is and used the f work occasionally.
Later found out the CPO forwarded the email to ceo and hop.
Both I and HoP got laid of shortly after. This was when covid striked for the first time.

My manager scolded me for not carrying laptop wherever I go during weekends and holiday. His reasoning was what if some important work pops up? Bro I’m into Marketing 😬
