Delhi Chokes Under Year's Worst Smog; Air Quality Hits 'Severe Plus'
* Delhi's air quality index hits 'severe plus' at 484, the highest this year, due to smog caused by dust, emissions, and illegal farm fires. * The city's visibility dropped to 100m, causing some delays in flights and trains; schools moved online and restrictions tightened on construction and vehicle movements. * Despite the hazardous conditions, many residents continue their daily routines, with iconic landmarks like India Gate barely visible.
