Seeking guidance & support for remote job opportunities

I’m reaching out to you all for a support as I actively seek remote job opportunities that align with my career background. I have a total of four years of experience across diverse roles. I started my professional journey as backend support for Swiggy, where I honed my skills in operations, customer service, and troubleshooting. Following this, I transitioned into the HR field, working as an HR Administrator/Generalist in real estate and finance startups for the past two years. In these roles, I was responsible for employee management, recruitment and providing general HR support. As I shift my focus to finding remote work, I’m exploring several job platforms, but I’m also aware that each comes with its own set of advantages and drawbacks: Dedicated Remote Job Websites (e.g., We Work Remotely, Remote.co): These are tailored to remote roles and offer many opportunities, but some postings can be outdated or many of the positions are concentrated in certain regions. Freelancing Platforms (Upwork, Freelancer): They are excellent for flexible remote work, but may not always lead to long-term positions. Plus, the bidding system can often undervalue professional experience. I would deeply appreciate any recommendations or referrals for remote roles, particularly in HR administration, generalist positions, or operations support. Any insights on navigating remote job platforms or tips on improving my chances of landing a remote role would be invaluable.

Cognizant revoked my offer without any notice

After being laid off from my first job, I tried to get a job everywhere and somehow landed an offer from Cognizant for ‘Engineer Trainee’ role in Bangalore on March 4th. I accepted the offer letter right away and provided all my details, but my Onboarding application wasn't being accepted because of a mismatch in my college name with my grade card. I tried to enter the full name of my College and the portal kept on rejecting it, forcing me to select from the list they gave. I reached out to the Support team on March 10, and they asked me to wait for 2-3 days. In the meantime, my date of joining was shared with me i.e. on March 18, so I moved to Bangalore 4 days ago. The day I moved to Bangalore, I rushed to the Cognizant Office with all my documents to have them verified in person and also notify them that I was ready to join. But the HR was working from home and I have no contact other than their email support. I kept on checking every day but my college name wasn't added to the list. I reached out to them on March 15 and March 17 and even on the date of my joining, March 18, the issue wasn't resolved. Hence, my application wasn't accepted by them. But then I received an email stating that my DOJ will be updated after they fix the issue in 2 days. I was relieved and hoped that it'd probably be fixed. Today's March 20, and the first thing I checked was whether my college name was added to the list or not. But as soon as I logged into the portal, my entire world was shattered as my offer was revoked. I checked my mailbox, and there was nothing about offer revocation. I accepted the offer on March 4th; I provided all the details, and I even asked them to help me out with the college name issue, but in the end, I am back to being jobless. Being an older son in my family, I feel like shit right now. I somehow snagged an offer to help support my family, and yet it was revoked. Cognizant's support team, too, isn't responding. What should I do? Please help.
