Searching for my lobster since fckin 5yrs and no results! -Tried through contacts, turned down - Shaadi/Jeevansathi : No one is serious and the more options I get the more end up confused. Likewise for the other side. Although in online I get plethora of options,I end up wasting time and money. 95% of the matches are doing window shopping. This is way way harder then getting into FAANG. Some stats of me: Height:6'2 Age:33 Diet: Vegetarian/Teetotaler Btw feel free to reach out to me here also 😂
Mental well being at work
Does your company invest in well being( Mental and Physical) of all employees ( not counting insurance stuff) ? Some of the place that i have worked, have invested a lot in it, but eventually the benefit does not get passed on to employee primarily because of lack of awareness on how to use them or people always caught with work that they don’t have time to access these help. I also feel that top executives and mid managers are not trained on how to tackle issue when their teammate reach out citing problems of what they are going through regarding mental well being. Out of ignorance the first instinct is to see if it does not hamper the org in anyway or get rid of employee. Would love to hear more on this
The tide is turning
This is anecdotal but just wanted to highlight my observation that the recruitment is getting harder in general and multiple companies fighting for same good candidates. It's really nice to see green shoots considering how hard 2023 has been. The companies still laying off in 2024 are either doing recruitment in India or small startups that are anyway not going to last this entire year. Majority of the recruitment is being driven by captive centers being setup by startups from Europe and US. Good luck folks. Make sure you ask for higher numbers.
