Children of government officials

GV has a good number of people whose parents are/were in some state/central department (any post, any grade pay). Most of them are in corporate setup now (jobs, startups) along with others. And everyone has an opinion about policies and administrative reforms needed for Indian corporate landscape. Apart from politicians, a major part of this responsibility lies with bureaucracy. Looking back at their parent’s job, would they say their parents did their job honestly without any corruption?

Not sure where my career path is going

27, 30+ LPA, Wfh - T2 city. Lately, I’ve been feeling demotivated about continuing my journey in software development. It’s been a long road, but the spark that once fueled my passion seems to have faded. I even tried exploring other paths, like MBA prep and government job preparation, hoping to find a new direction. But neither of those worked out for me, leaving me at a crossroads. Someone suggested moving to management (hence the MBA prep) but I’ve not even been a lead (mostly IC) - how will I handle management? Government jobs were alluring (thought of prepping for RBI/SEBI) but didn’t go through as pay opportunities wouldn’t compare unless I’m grinding for 7 years. Is it the T2 city, or that I’m missing the office culture? Idk it did feel better when I had discussions in a office over technical stuff. Hoping to find clarity soon - how did you overcome your career rut?

Where the f is this country heading

TW: IMAGE below Everything's going to shit recently. I can't help but wonder where are we heading. We celebrate reaching the other side of the moon but can't have the basics right. There's airports collapsing, bridges falling, ministers houses flooding in the capital of the nation, while the people are stuck blaming, infighting and staying divided. Our air is unbreathable, roads unusable, water not drinkable, food is no better than poison. Our education system doesn't seem to get better. Hoards of people for government jobs whose papers keep getting leaked. The amount of private jobs you could count on your fingers and the applicants are hundreds for a single role. I write this rant feeling defeated in my home, where I've been born, lived and seen everyone I love live. I fear for myself but more than that my family, my parents for whom I dream of giving the world to. At this point, I understand why people leave this country in a heartbeat.
