Working insane hours
Hi All. I am working for a US company from India. My manager is based in US as well. More than 50% of my team is in US too. I am constantly in catch up mode because there is no proper communication from leadership. I am usually the one who has to burn the midnight oil or be the early bird. Not only is it impacting my health (I get migraines because my trigger is less sleep) but it has started impacting my family too now who blame me for doing so much with very little returns. No promo though it was promised a year ago. What should I do? Please note that I have a mortgage so quitting job is not an option.

I think you lost interest in the current work. Either try internal job change or move to new job
I guess you are right. I was also thinking of the same.
Don't waste time about thinking ans waste your career.. Take actions swiftly.. I was in similar situation like you and I did not act in right time. This reflected as not big contributor in my work and organisation decided to expel from me from the organization. So do not ponder about it and act immediately..
Hi! So sorry you're going through this. If quitting is not an option, you can try to look for jobs elsewhere. You could also find a system that works for you and your team where updates could be shared over a document / Collab board. Show your leadership team how no proper internal communication is wasting productive time. If you want to be extra, put numbers to this ( numbers and data talks louder) ask them for support or suggest a new way of working. Do all this as earnestly as you would and not in an accusatory way. Hopefully they'll support you.
I have set up good PM practices in the team but no one wants to follow them as there is no push from leadership. Someone else commented that I have lost interest, that maybe the case why I am not even driving adoption for them. Thank you for the advice, I will try to put together some numbers.
Have you discussed this with your manager? Or are you assuming they understand.
Americans are extremely sensitive and understanding of WLB.
If you haven't discussed it, set up a 1x1 and be explicit in your ask.
Yes, there has been no improvement despite explicit feedback. They feel that I should catch up with my peers because they are more focussed on strategy rather than tactical everyday.
