Work life balance

I see people discussing salaries ranging from 40lpa+ so casually here. Need to know if grapevine has junta who are happy earning average pay ~20lpa & don't really get FOMO.

I mean, do we have to constantly keep thinking about what others are earning & not focus on bigger picture called LIFE?

Unfortunately, earning 20lpa doesn’t mean you will definitely have good WLB neither does earning 40lpa mean your wlb is screwed

Yup, this. Many do focus on money more than life as they think they would retire sooner.

Right with you buddy. 10 years total work ex, only at 28 Lpa. Did education from tier1 colleges, now feel even more useless.

People discussing salaries doesn't mean they are constantly thinking about the money they make. That being said, money should be one of the if not the top priority. Their is no nobility in poverty. You can be happy and super rich. This lower class living life to fullest while the upper class is shallow and depressed inside is a narrative set to attract masses which are of lower class. In reality both are equally fucked in life but money helps.

I see you bro!! 22 LPA here, completely remote job, work 4-5 hours/day on an average, and Friday is almost a holiday. Great WLB.

I do get fomo that others are earning more, but I'm in a deep comfort zone. what to do?

Hey, is there someway I can get the company name. Sounds super fun, would try to apply. I have a strong profile, but due to some health issues I can only apply for remote work.

Think about side hustle man . Your position is exactly where I want to be but unfortunately I missed out on my Remote opportunity. I would trade the markets or setup an online business, service based like growth hacking, marketing etc , build a brand either through Instagram adds or Twitter adds etc . And most importantly enjoy for months in places like goa , Bali etc

Earning less doesn't mean you have a great WLB.

Know many earning 1 crore+ having a better WLB than folks earning 20L.

Nope. This is very low. You should be earning atleast 4 CR per year at this age, else you will end up poor.

If you earn 20+ LPA, what do you spend on?

Recently started earning and honestly living a comfortable life with a much lower salary than most people talk about. Doing the math, I don't see myself needing more than 18L-24L in hand to save and continue living comfortable (but I am ...
