Why do people hate rich and successful people

I’ve seen posts and memes all over social media on the recent titanic sub disaster. I realised anytime someone rich and successful is going through something bad everyone likes to laugh at it or they seem to celebrate it.

Even when rich people do something for themselves we have the SJWs saying they could’ve end poverty , done this or that but the thing is it’s their money it’s up to them to decide what to do. We’ve got governments to look after the welfare of the people.

Why hold rich and successful people accountable ? The argument can be made for normal people like you and me as well?

Why stay in a posh locality in a good house when you could stay somewhere cheap ? Why use an iPhone rather than some ordinary one ? Why have investments when you can invest in on people ? Sounds dumb doesn’t it? So let’s just consider rich people as humans and not heroes or villains with what they do with their wealth.

Nobody is hating rich people, but rather the system that has helped them amass such a disproportionate amount of wealth. And to add to all the misery, the rich have created processes and systems that will stop anyone and everyone who wants to break the status quo.

Just go through this link and you will realise the magnitude of problem that we are talking about here. It’s comically dystopian.

I agree there’s a system that exists to make sure that most of us don’t make it there or reach there. Indirectly even we’re part of it we enable them to do it as well. However there are people who have broken it and have shown anyone can do it.

Governments are not looking after the people. They’re serving the interests of the rich. And rich doesn’t mean the tax paying “upper middle class”, it means the folks who don’t pay any taxes, and get the most benefits out of the government’s so called “welfare schemes”

So why don’t we hold the same governments accountable as much as we talk about the rich or mock them. Why are we united when mocking rich people but divided when it comes to the people who are actually supposed to make sure about your development. We will still go vote based on what dumb caste / religion / bias that we have.

Governments (and corporations) have been spinning the narrative for years. It’s always been a class issue, spun to make the common folks believe it’s a religion or caste war. While a lot of folks are now aware of the system, a major number of people still believe that they’re not successful because of (minority/caste/religion), all the while the true, the hidden rich pass the laws beneficial to them. Barring a few outliers, being “successful” requires you coming from an already successful background, while this isn’t the problem by itself, combined with things like ordinary folks paying taxes to bail corporations and billionaires out only validates the narrative that they will not be able to amass the ridiculous amounts of wealth without a system of exploitation

Lmao what even is this post why do some people make everything political. Har baat mein right/left sjw fascist

Some people paid exorbitant money to put themselves in danger for no reason at all.
Ofc people will make fun it was a stupid thing to do the submarine lacked basic safety features its not the same as a natural disaster or some kids getting trapped in a cave.

Basically play stupid games win stupid prizes. If you go chasing adrenaline and danger it will bite you back. The fact that they paid quarter of a million is the cherry on top. Reminds me of the Fyre Festival

It’s not political in nature it’s more to do with human behaviour and thinking.

The difference being that they’re mocked cause they were rich but if this was some poor person trying to illegally migrate to a country social media would be full of sympathy and what not.

They’re rich cause they or their ancestors worked hard / smart at one point. You too can do the same and enjoy it or the coming generations can.

Poor / Middle class has gotten into this entitlement mentality and the rich rather than be the rich mentality. I myself come from a middle class background.

You cant use this incident for this discussion because thats not what happened in this particular incident and makes no sense linking the two

Nobody can make multi million dollar (unless born into wealth) by pure hardwork and luck. You make it by stealing from your employees (paying them less), bribing people, doing borderline illegal things.

That’s why.

  1. I know a few people personally who’ve started from absolutely nothing but have made it their business into multi million if not billions while treating their employees well.

  2. Bribes happen most often than not due to the incompetent and greedy politicians and the red tapism that exists within our country. Which forces even the good ones to resort to such practices.

  3. Regardless of how they’re rich unless it’s related to trafficking, terrorism , murder or something of that sort I believe we should still see them as humans and not mock them in times of distress.

Indians wholeheartedly hate people who make money

It's a very Indian mindset to treat or look down upon people who make a lot of money. We find some or the other reason to bring them down. We call them names. Though most of our life problems can be solved by money.

Just like there i...
