Why die when you can live?

Just read a post about the suicide of an OLA employee.

A thought has been hovering over my head since some years about suicide (especially after Sushant Singh Rajput's case). If something doesn't work out, how difficult is it to give up on everything, move to a new city / village and start a fresh life with whatever you have. Especially for a star like Sushant, he can live a well off life in a rural place or tier 3 city. Are you that scared to start from 0 that you are ready to just die?

If you have that courage to give up on your family, push them into depression and die, then why not just run away and start a new life. Is job the only core of life?

P.S : i have never faced such situation, so my doubt can come off as rude. But it's genuine.

I can totally understand your perspective.
But sometimes it’s not easy. It isn’t easy to face the people you have let down.
Most importantly it’s not easy to face yourself.
You would have had to make countless sacrifices because you were fighting for something.
But when that something turns out to be a disappointment, you define yourself with that. Every thing you did upto this moment, all the justifications you gave yourself all of them come back.
At this moment, death feels the easiest thing to do.

Its neither. Just think of this as a possibility or curiosity. What if SSR could have taken Sanyaas?

People assume it's so easy to pack up and leave.

This thread on suicide for instance.

The weight of feeling profoundly different can lead to deep despondency, especially for those with keen intellect and sensitivity navigating a world that often feels out of sync with their inner landscape. For others, the internal struggle may become so overwhelming that the thought of ending it all offers a distorted sense of peace.
It's tempting to imagine a world where pure rationality and logic prevail, believing it would create a frictionless existence devoid of problems, and certainly free from the tragedy of suicide. However, the complexities of human emotion and experience often transcend purely logical solutions.

Tunnel vision.

Its like asking a kid why take toffee from strangers when parents buy them for you?

Its easy to say ‘oh 1+1 =2’ for a 12th grader but someone in UKG will always take time and find it very difficult.

Its all about the PoV. I know you’re being curious and thats okay but we must understand artificial walls are created in such cases and the person (is made to, directly or indirectly) thinks death is better than this cage. We must therefore treat everyone with some respect ands loads of empathy.

Human emotion is not about what place to stay or who gets affected. Internally, within you, you had so much hope that something works a certain way, and when it doesn't work out, you start feeling as if your life goal has been blocked, unconditionally abruptly and there is no place, person or time that can fix it.

All that's left is to rid yourself of the void that you are in, the constant pain and thought that keep running over and over in your body mind and soul, to so much toxic level that your soul eventually starts begging you.

Now read your post and think now whether it matters to them if they shift themselves away

The fact that Mck tried to cover up its name in investigation is sad

Suicide can stem from two causes:

  • When external factors or people push someone towards it (abetment).
  • When someone makes the decision on their own, without external influence.
