Why are consumer insurance and finance companies not offering unemployment insurance as an add-on or directly?

Given the current market situation and the recent layoffs in major tech startups, I believe that offering unemployment insurance, either as an additional product or a core offering, could be beneficial. Has anyone here ever experienced job loss or had unemployment insurance, or heard about it?
