What’s the one thing that makes you uninterested in resuming your work on Mondays?

I don't have an exact answer to this. For the past 2 years, I'm in a burnout stage - I have lost the fire/will to work on anything professionally. This is especially the case post COVID. So it is a combination of
- I realise that there is more to life than work and career.
- Feeling tired with deadlines and the daily hustle.
What is the purpose of this life? Why is it that we spend 60-70% of our awake time running just to pay bills or eat good food or get some travel checklist done?

Great perspectives. Appreciate it. 👏

Totally agreed! So, what do you wanna do? I am at a similar stage myself, but when I think about leaving all behind, not sure what to pick up next! For doing anything from your bucket list, you need money! That's a default basic thing!

None of these It’s just inability to continue watching Netflix/YT/IG Reels for hours at a stretch 😂

I just feel I have grown lazy overtime. I am addicted to all the distractions we have in the post Covid era like reels, huge OTT content, etc. But I realize once I start working, it continues to give me excitement and thrill and I can work for longer hours and stretch so it is just the beginning on Monday. That is painful..

This is such an interesting point. Have you tried actively turning down digital activity?
Any luck with it?

Yes. So I am not turning down digital activity. I am transitioning. So I have Kindle App installed on my phone and everytime I go on Insta, my inner self reminds me that I could be reading instead -> gives me lesser dopamine and easier to put down the phone once I finish a paragraph/idea.

I'm too exhausted, I don't feel like working anymore for the past 1.5 years I have given 12-14 hours a day for my work. Client is very demanding, needs every type of documentation, need to investigate issues which were caused once and then never occurred again. If any issue due to old data , why there was an issue an explanation is needed. Everything has KPIs. Expectation is that the developer should know every scenario. Why something was built that way 2 years ago has to be explained many times as well.
Feeling burnt out. Want to leave, but current job market is scary. Though I know I can get a job anywhere with my skillset, but still it is a risk.

Are you in tech ?

- Constant "quick call?" pings by team members who aren't able to figure out simple things.
- Timesheets. Explaining how I utilized every hour of work last week and this itself takes a good 30 min on Monday.
- Some weird glitch in the system which I know will take up half of this week.

I'm a normal person and this is a regular Monday, so ...

Well , I’m just lazy or exhausted and want some more break
