What's the best way to make Lumpsump investment ?

Hello Everyone,

I've somewhere around 7L of lumpsup amount and don't know where to invest it for long term growth perspective with not much high risk but better returns as compared to savings account.

27M

20k SIP 3L emergency fund 3L stocks

Goal: Some amount of it might required in near future for home renovation and marriage. But don't want to keep it in savings account because of very less ROI.

Need some suggestions and guidance on this, what you people would do in such cases?

Try a liquid or arbitrage fund for 30% of money for safety. Returns are not important here but only safety. Another 30% for equity MFs as a lumpsum in multicap/flexicap and the rest for whatever your other vices are. Of course, I don't know your risk appetite nor personal financial situation so this is just generic advice

That's a good distribution of fund.. making it less of a risk and ok ok returns.

I can take some risk.. but not much as I'm targetting for some good money in hand and portfolio for safe future.

Gold. Buy for your mom. If married buy for your wife. If your wife is a single daughter, buy half for your mom and the other half for your mother in law.

That's a really good advice. I'm gonna think about it for sure.

Btw is it right time to buy gold as it's almost all time high?

But a land. Preferably in the outer of the city. Take a loan of about 10 lacs add this amount and buy one. Nothing other than real-estate gives 300 percent returns in 5 years
