You are an experienced software engineer having more than 10 plus yrs of experience. You went to an interview and the interviewer is a junior or less experienced.
What will you do?
Would help to remain professional - fewer years of experience doesn’t mean they’re not qualified to interview you.
I’ve been on the other side when I was the younger person interviewing a senior from my college. That person got super uncomfortable and bombed the interview after I revealed this connection though.
I want to hear everyone’s opinions on this. Both individuals may feel uncomfortable—the junior might feel that they have more experience than I do, while the senior might worry about not being able to answer basic questions, which could undermine their years of experience. There will be mixed views, especially in Indian interviews, where interviewers often make candidates feel uncomfortable.
