  • somedays, I have legit no work to do. I can just sleep or play games or go out. If it was WFO, I would've been stuck in office

Bangalore traffic. Colossal and criminal waste of time & mental torture thinking about the waste of time.

How does WFH help with that? You wash your hair in the lab?

Every time I change cities, my hair fall starts. It's frustrating every single time.

I want to save money. I was easily saving almost 80-90% salary when I was doing WFH now it <40%

Hahahah. I do regret spending on food sometimes. But after grinding for 5 days, I want at least 2 meals of my week to be good.

WFH if either days are intense or light.
WFO if work needs alignment

Progress at home, alignment at office

Commute in India is awful. Both time taken and experience. If you have your own vehicle it's somewhat manageable put still pathetic. If not, it's hell.

I travel 42 kms one-way to reach office, change 3 trains to get there. It takes me 1.5 hours. I can complete my daily tasks in that time and then chill/learn something the rest of the time... but no. The org feels that working from office is better when it comes to co-ordination so I have to travel for 3 hours daily 😞😞😞

  • Medical problems my parent faced recently
  • Saving on rent by not moving to a different city altogether
  • More time in hand(due to no traveling) to learn stuff if i finish the task early

  1. End up saving much more.
  2. Can stay with family.
  3. Save commute time. I open my PC at 10:30 for a 10:30 meeting.
  4. Exercise regularly. Much easier to plan a schedule when at home.
  5. Able to do something else when work is not hectic or urgent. Also, flexible work, incase kabhi mood nhi hua.
  6. Afternoon naps🥱.

There are some disadvantages too, like there's no passive learning and all. But I am active in terms of learning things, and in WFH I get time to do that. So it cancels out I guess.
