Personally I invest majorly in Index funds. It’s simple and best. No need to worry much, on an average it should fetch 12% minimum. Considering growth in Indian economy, I am optimistic about returns

Navi nifty 50 index fund and Nippon Sensex fund. Both have low expense ratio and same stocks with similar percentage of allotment to other famous index funds

Please create a target category wise breakup of your portfolio based on your needs and risk profile.

Then choose some top performing one from each category with preferably high AUM and low expense ratio etc

And example distribution can look like

Large cap : 25% Small cap : 25% Hybrid : 40% Miscellaneous : 10% (can include us funds, or funds investing in a particular market segment like infra)

This is just an example distribution; please tweak the numbers according to your needs and preferences.
