This article is over exaggerating on this . I have worked in the same domain for over 2 years and comment on it. In actual terms, Banks have to move to BBPS (bharat bill payments system) which is foundation for electricity,mobile and gas bill payments.

banks haven't done it yet despite there's the deadline..In all possibility, the deadline gets extended . Also 3rd party apps will still process your credit card bill payments as banks should move to bbps and not these apps.
