What is taught in HR Degrees ?
Would like to know what is taught in HR courses. As it might explain why some basic concepts are hard for HR folks to grasp. E.g - Use of the bell curve w.o any understanding of a Normal Distribution Maths - boundary conditions etc, Not understanding that high performance teams have a 5 sigma on the bell curve
- how it forces people to 'cut and stab' team members
So much damage has been caused by a sheep like application and following of Bell Curve by HR folks w.o any understanding of Maths, Psychology, Team Performance
This suggests that the syllabus of HR Degrees is stuck in the dark ages of Lords and Peasents ...

HR is something which is actually outdated , not pragmatic, over burdened by tech influx with unnecessary processes.

I will digress from the question.
Most people have a very limited understanding and exposure of HR field, specially in tech.
HR is as critical as sales in a manufacturing set up. Handling worker unions is no joke. You have to have a deep understanding of national and state level labour laws.
On top of that you have to maintain cordial relationships with local politicians and offices - even with village pradhans around your factories as they can easily make life hell for you.
Plus labor inspections, safety inspections, food regulators, fire clearances etc etc are no walk in the park in a place like India.

Your post is super true and yet somehow super funny
