Incoming!. Every FAANG PM is thinking about and working on integrating Gen AI into their features.
This includes PMs and engineers who oversee 1-2 features in the entire product. And will oversell their part in it.
For promotions to job switches these guy have to shout ‘I used a lot of Gen AI to change the world’
And then to sell it on LinkedIn for getting likes.
The PMs will sound like they were just as visionary as Sam Altman who made GPT in the first place.
And the engineers will sound like they coded GPT and will invent AGI themselves while they just integrate 2 APIs.

This is not about the PMs. It is the PM directors or the CEOs that want AI AI AI in everything in their company.
AI makes it easy to get a promotion or get follow on funding
AI is a real deal unlike other technologies. Infact best mankind invention in the last 10 years.
What about CRISPR? Or cloud computing/datacenter tech, wouldn't you say it's a critical backbone for the industry at large?
Cloud computing and data center was invented in 2005 - 2015 decade

Haaa... Jisme GPUs expensive ho gaye and Nvidia booked solid revenue.
But at least AI can make deep fake, basic code, blog, do data analysis, generate images, clone voice, help with case studies. Compared to Crypto, AI has some utility.
FAANG? What about all the .ai startups that are basic GPT wrappers?

Not just pm and engineers, an architect cum CTO is boasting on LinkedIn about integrating AI into application, but not an ounce of AI exists and app is filled with leagacy code of 10 years.
