Walmart IDC hikes

I read a few posts on fishbowl that walmart is going to give poor hikes in single digits to its employees. Is this news true?? I have given interview there. Can anyone please elaborate more on this. I was considering joining the company but these reviews are making me think twice.

Yes that is true. Walmart is facing tough headwinds. They will always preserve their net margin. So, shortfalls will be made up by reducing costs.

All the retailers are cutting costs a lot. Since it's very difficult to control external factors, they start with internal factors.
