Using office MDM on personal iPhone / IPad. Your expertise?

Hi, I for a fact know that employers install MDM if you plan to BYOD. But I am keen to know how much do they track your personal activities, personal apps and does that affect ? Any best practices. While I have never faced a problem and neither indulge in any obscure activities, but with iCloud being the center of my photos, family storage, backups it is difficult to disassociate that with my iPhone.

Pls comment.
