It depends. In my project there's a person with 10 exp still associate. At the same time another person with 7 exp as an Sr. Associate. But in general they do promote from A to SA after 4-5 years of being an Associate.

Exactly.. in my team 10+ exp guy is still with A and trying to get SA. Don’t wait for SA instead if you need hike then move out

Minimum 2 years as Associate in CTS and ratings above 3 or more for past 2 years
