Tracking software now takes camera pictures too

We have tracking software added. It takes laptop screenshots and session logging details. But now it takes camera pictures too for every 30 mins. I am doing wfh but it is taking too much privacy. Should i add a black tape or not. I am also little bit scared for adding a black tap due to market situation.

Please name and shame the company if possible. Company with so much trust issues should not be doing WFH . You can ask your manager about this. I think for girl / ladies this is a bigger issue as you don’t how are they storing this data and seeing it not being misused . I think your company employees should raise this and get it addressed ofcourse in a polite way .

Cannot name and shame company due to fear. Its not only for wfh people. Same laptop monitoring tool is present for people who go to office daily. I talked with my female colleagues they are going to add black tape. My manager is kind of lame. Me and him always talk at the end of quarter for ratings only. I mostly work with tech lead. We(Me and tech lead) dont talk much except scrum call(15-30 min). No one is going to raise voice . I will not raise but will probably add a black tape for sure.

I think they can’t legally check your logs and screenshot unless you are being investigated for some data misuse etc . Check the company policy

Dont believe in company policy itself. They change it whenever they want. Dont want to go in legal side as i will continue working in this company for next 6 months
