Signs of a good manager / leadership?

Basically the title. What according to you is essential for a good manager? For me, if my manager can foster strong and sustained relationship with me / the team, the team is more likely to work more diligently. Curious to know what are the signs others look out for?

A leader should know the high level direction(or constantly figuring it out) the team should take and help them reach there. They should also course correct in case someone falls astray. One-on-one management is also very important to improve each team member. Rest is all about motivation, disciple and leading from the front.
P.s : very few good managers exist in India at least.
