Should I resign if I am not happy with my current job.

I am having 14years experience and working in one of the top MNC and have WFH with good package. However, the work I am doing is not interesting and I was dragged into other work which is non technical. Also, none of the team members is supportive and I feel mentally disturbed. If I have a good backup for 1-2 years, would it be ok to resign, take a break for 1 year and learn new technologies which I am interested in?

If you have big names on your resume, or if you are top 0.01% in your field sure

Otherwise this is not a good time to take a career break. HRs don't know what a career break is, and you lose leverage when you will be getting back after the break.

If your mental health is in decline because of not being able to enjoy life, want to travel, or if you want to live a happy life on your own terms, then only take a break.

Otherwise it's like switching life to extreme difficulty from easy difficulty.

If you are not native to any city, and can move back, do it. Start a small business. There is no shame. Not every one is is built for corporate life. Unlike the last gen government jobs, we will not enjoy life long inflation indexed pensions. If you can start a business, leave. When you stay without any desire, any money we earn here ,will go straight to hospital and medicine.

IF you are planning to get back on to corporate world, after 1-2 years. Dont quit. what is the point? is there any guarantee that the next job will be better? as far as i know, in any company maybe 5% of the jobs are interesting, rest are all BS. We are here for the money.
