Salary of ISRO chairman Somnath is 2.5 lakhs per month. Remember this when you feel you are not being rewarded as per your effort in corporate cubicle

And your point is?

My point is

  1. To remember how underpaid our rockstars like Nambi Narayan , Sathish Dhawan, Madhavan Nair were while we chest thumping about chandrayaan having lower budget than Gravity movie.

  2. To be grateful for what life has provided us. We are programmed to compare ourselves with someone earning more than us.

you missed all the points Bro.

  1. A bunglow in Bangalore with garden and breathable area and a lawn will cost you around 1.5-3L per month
  2. Driver will. cost you 15-20K per month.
  3. Vehicle with taxes and depreciations I am putting it around 20K
  4. Other perks I am not even adding

Their in hand salary is almost 100% savings, for us the moment salary is credited, we have to start deducting every small expenses from that

Wrong matrix of comparison. Money doesn't follow the effort-reward axis it follows the supply and demand axis.
That's why some kid streaming games or some girl showing her butt online would be making 10 times more than you, me and the chairman of ISRO.

Can you add the perks for the calculation. Like the staff, car, driver, bunglow etc..

It literally the maximum amount a government official can make. India's Chief Secretary will also get the same amount. You need to consider in the perks, staff, bungalow etc.

But those are till the retirement after that you only get the retirement corpus šŸ˜€

That's true. But I still think that it's more than enough to have a very good life šŸ˜…. That's what I was trying to convey

less

Very less, compared to the level of stress they endure day in and day out. Yaha engineers ki ek week k oncall me halat kharab ho jati hai. šŸ˜‚

Bhai if we don't pay taxes earned from our corporate cubicle, forget Somnath sir, ISRO only won't get funding.

I don't understand this pointless generalisation. Even the people you're trying to paint in bad light are good people, maybe the system and the ones who run it are at fault or maybe it's more nuanced than that.

What’s the point here? If at all he’s underpaid if you still need to compare at all. Most of us work at MNCs and are underpaid as compared to our western counterparts working on the same job going by that logic.

On a side node prime minister’s salary is also in the same range šŸ™‚

IITians not ready to work at ISRO at 5digit monthly salary.

Money is everything?

Isro pays 60k-95k to fresher engineers... Still IITians are not joining.

Slogging for Western Mnc is the only desire of IITians?

Comments and solutions??

Everything is so expensive right now. Is it wrong to think about financial stability.
