
Regional Bias in IT sector
I am overthinking or I might be correct I don't know!
But in the recent past I am feeling that there is a regional bias happening in the organisation and IT sector!
With very less work some people secure a very good hike, but even after extensive efforts some secure less than average.
Hiring process gets a bit easier for people from a particular region, but even after extensive efforts some people get rejected for stupid reasons!
Do you feel the same?

For which region hiring is easier and which region is it strict according to you? Provide some more details. I will compare it with my understanding.

That depends on which region the manager belongs to. You might have noticed, if manager belongs from North, his team has majority of north Indians. If he belongs from South same is the case. Someone who deleted the reply already said.. "People are ok with mediocre talent but want to work with people who are from same region which creates a safe space and comfortable work environment"
Skills are not the only assets, and its true, irrespective of sector.
