Reason for wrong salary info
I am curious what makes people give inflated salaries on an anonymous platform.
Unless you are a sadist and want everybody else to suffer, what is the best case reasoning for sharing wrong info? What social construct am I not able to understand here?
They want to give others a lot of “Dukh, dard and peeda”
I am not sure which posts you are seeing. Can you give some examples of roles, companies, yoe and TC which you feel is inflated? Maybe then people can comment is it real or fake

I never felt anyone said wrong salary.
Inflated salaries help inflating egos and self worth.
False pride.
Check comments on Grapevine founder's LinkedIn post and you'll get your answer 🤷🏽♂️ People don't easily trust online apps and for good reason it seems.
Wanna be types
So that people will start demanding more salaries from recruiters and HR and therefore raise the market salaries 😄
Why would people give wrong salary info here, i don't understand...maybe this platform has large base of people who are earning good...that can be the case right?
