PMP Certification worth?

Does this help in getting more job options ? Better salary ? Asking in the Indian context.

As a persuing PMP candidate : learning is worth, it gives lot of insights in a elaborate way and it also teaches you to do PM in a systematic/structured approach .

But you need experience in PM else it'll be like subject you studied in your college or school curriculum to get the certificate..

Is there any alternative if no exp in PM
