Your CTC is a combination of Fixed pay and variable pay. Fixed pay is paid on a monthly basis. Variable pay is paid on a quarterly basis depending on your, project's , department's and company's performance. Some people have only fixed pay in their salary, so they don't need to worry about this performance bonus.
