Pahalgam incident ≠ Islam

Dear All the Hindus,

In the Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verse 32, Muslims are commanded NOT TO kill an innocent soul.

The #PahalgamAttack was indeed carried out by individuals identified as #Muslims, but their actions have nothing to do with Islam. Islam, and the global Muslim community, strongly condemns this heinous act.

I humbly request all my fellow Indians not to associate this incident with Islam in any way. Islam absolutely denounces such actions.

Lastly, please don't spread hatred towards the entire Muslim community or Islam. Such actions only deepen division and go against the values of unity and peace.

Thank You.🙏

I'm sorry but if you know this full tragedy that happened yesterday, it has EVERYTHING to do with your islam

No bro, how can you claim that? Just because they identify as Muslims? That’s a very broad claim and there agenda can be something else also!

ZestyQuokka

I'm saddened that some wrong elements brainwashed people to kill others. They used religion to divide and succeeded

Yes, 100%, if you’re going to ask them how much they really know about Islam, I bet they won’t be able to answer!!

If a person is not inherently wrong, then no one can brainwash them to such an extent that they would kill innocent people.

How conveniently you have just referenced the Quran. In daily life you rely on hadith to understand and apply the Quran right ?

Now tell me what has been written in hadith ?

SparklyRaccoon

Tell me how hadith reprimands people who don't practice your faith, and all the women. Give me those verses now.

You seem to know better, right? Why don’t you quote something for me? I conveniently provided a reference—just like others do when they claim it’s from the Quran.

But Truth has to be brought up, my dear friend!🙂

This post is so naive, coming at this specific time. Just stay silent, let the anger subside, and then post this. Don’t act like stupid.

Here are a few points:-

  1. Religion as a concept itself is bad. Any religion.

  2. Scientific and rational thought should be promoted over religious thoughts.

  3. Islamic Terrorism is a reality. The term just denotes terrorism caused by terrorists flaunting Islamic association. Obviously other religions too have terrorism aspect, but much lesser in comparison to Islam.

  4. Religion involves Faith, which goes against rationality and scientific thought process in most cases. And faith, can be easily distorted.

  5. When people are grieving, and in anger, let them show anger, no need to jump in and start putting points defending religion.

  6. Religion in their pure form, may not advocate terrorism and killing of innocents, but if religion is easily being misused to promote terrorism, then religion and religious people need to sit back and introspect, rather than go around defending religion. So better promote the said religion amongst terrorists, rather than amongst other religion’s people.

  7. Whatever you post, those who are angry against Islam as a religion, won’t get convinced with you, so anyway it is a waste of effort, and coming at this time, this is thoughtless and apathetic.

  8. And as for unity and peace being disturbed by such religion blaming, don’t worry, there are enough divisions amongst Hindus itself based on caste etc. So while you do have a point, all these go on and balance themselves, and anyway, at this point, no use of putting such aspect, it will fall on deaf ears

  9. If at all you are concerned about this issue, promote people not to follow any religion, including not to follow Islam. Promote to follow scientific and rational thought, not some religious texts.

First of all, what you are saying is that let people be consumed by hatred after then go and clarify. How naive is that?! It means first go to jail then get a lawyer. Give a second thought on that!

Religion as a concept is bad — World Wars I & II: Combined, these caused over 100 million deaths, driven by nationalism, imperialism, and political ideologies—not religion.

Go study how Islam played a crucial role in pulling Europe out of Dark ages.

Estimates suggest that the total zakat contributions worldwide range between US$200 billion and US$1 trillion each year.

And you say religion is bad?

While science advances knowledge, it’s not inherently moral—religion provides ethical boundaries. Scientific thought alone led to the atomic bomb, wiping out entire cities like Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That’s why we need both scientific progress and religious or moral guidance to ensure it’s used responsibly.

  1. Islamic terrorism? here is a reality check —

Deaths from Islamic Jihadist Violence: • Global (past few decades): Around 200,000 – 300,000 deaths (includes terrorist attacks, insurgencies by groups like ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, etc.)

Deaths from U.S. Military Interventions (Power-driven conflicts) • Vietnam War: ~3.8 million Vietnamese (mostly civilians) • Iraq War (2003–2011): ~200,000 – 600,000+ deaths (civilian + combatant estimates vary) • Afghanistan War (2001–2021): ~240,000 deaths • Global War on Terror (Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, etc.): ~900,000+ direct deaths (Brown University’s Costs of War project) Over 3.6 million indirect deaths (from disease, starvation, infrastructure collapse)

But how could you criticise your father (America) right?😁

  1. It’s a mistake to assume that faith and rationality are always at odds—many religious beliefs are deeply rational and provide moral frameworks that science can’t. Yes, faith can be distorted, but so can science. Science, when detached from ethics, has justified everything from eugenics to atomic bombs. Today, it even pushes some to deny basic human realities—convincing men and women they’re something else, even animals. So if distortion is the concern, both science and faith can be misused. The key is balance—not blind rejection.

  2. How smart is to say that! Act when everything has finished. It will be a good idea to not to retaliate now for the Indian government and let the anger subside?

  3. That is what I am trying to say that “religion has nothing to do with terrorism” and I can’t promote a religion to terrorists when they have an opposite ideology. It can only be promoted among open minded people.

  4. I don’t want to convince anyone, I can’t do that, I can only inform.

  5. What matters to me is that, Islam doesn’t get involved in these things and thats all.

  6. Promote people to live with no moral and ethical values and like animals? No boundaries huh? Tomorrow if Science proves that wearing clothes is harmful then walk naked?

Bro, first of all there have been candle march in Kashmir itself beside that many prominent scholars have condemned that and many at many other places prayer have been made in solidarity😇 and I am not defending the act in itself rather the accusation which are being put on Islam.

See if the global muslim community really were standing with Indian people they will immediately help in ratting out all these people, you individually might not know about the attackers the global muslim community, since they are the one funding all these people.

Everyone knows how closely connected muslim community is, so they can easily help in capturing these Islamist terrorists. It is clear by nature of attack that local people were also supporting them.

So please don't recite a text which portrays you in good light or your community instead of that talk to your local maulavi ask them how you can reach pahalgam maulvis and from there ask them to rat out these terrorists.

Nobody is directly linking the incident with islam but if you look at the overall picture, where do they come how do they get their money and where are they residing currently.

This brings me to correct your title

Pahalgam incident = Islamist terrorist = muslim countries = islam

Mr. Half biryani....in the same Quran, surah 9 verse 5 says kill the non muslims where ever you found. Why din't you tell. Terrorism and terrorist both has a religion and the religion is ISLAM.
