NOT farming referrals. Need advice (and possibly a referral)

I'm working in an automation manager role at HSBC and the work has definitely moved far far away from my domain (I've a master's in data science). I'm earning good, no issues. I'm compensated around 13 lpa for my role. I am medium smart. I've got a good hold on analytics. And now I'm looking for a switch that can pay me at least 20 lpa. I know I'm worth that. Can you throw some random advice at me? How should I start applying? Will the absence of core analytics projects at HSBC hinder my job hunt? Also, if you're in financial analytics at a bank/consultancy, can you refer me? Of course I'll have a chat with you first
