My dad is diabetic. Although he is a bit older, we controlled his sugar levels through diet and exercise. He is old school so just walks and does a bit yoga, but i would suggest you to start strength training along with balanced diet with high protein. Understand basics of nutrition, macro and micro nutrients, glycemic index etc. You ll do just fine. It's a lifestyle disease, so fix your lifestyle and you fix dieabetes, simple.

You need to clean up your diet.

You need to know the history, geography, chemistry of every single grain, fruit, vegetable that goes through your mouth.

You need to stop trusting packaging which says nice things like organic, gluten free, etc.

Also, regular yoga, meditation, exercise, nature rendezvous are a must.

That's the only way that would work long term.
