My company suddenly announced 6 day work week for all the employees of my department even though our offer letter says 5 days. Is this legal? By the law, can they force us to work one additional day without pay?

Without pay is pathetic. If they are making you work for 6 days then they should compensate you either monetarily or in form of a compoff
