
My boss expects me to treat him like my girlfriend ffs
I recently made a switch and joined this remote organization. Off late, I’ve realized its a bunch of scammers and pseudo-visionaries who are running that shitshow. Surprisingly its a large company and money is flowing in.
I report directly to the CEO and he expects me to ‘nag’ him or ‘spam’ him all the time with WA texts.
G**ndu wouldn’t reply to my texts for days at a stretch, won’t reply to emails but call me out in a company townhall saying he didn’t hear any update.
When I pointed out that I’m waiting on his feedback, his point was that I didn’t escalate! Who tf do I escalate about the CEO to? And why is it okay to expect an employee to spam on text messages.
Don’t you want them to respect your time ffs? Goes on to only say how he doesn’t value his own time.
Now everytime I get a WA notification, my anxiety spikes up. Is this toxicity even normal and acceptable?

I want to! But there’s the liability of joining bonus and a 90D notice that sucks.

How long are you gonna wait? You are just prolonging the 90 day notice by being there each day. As for the joining bonus please think if it is really worth your peace of mind and see if you can atleast talk out of it. I am not going to assume how much but I am guessing it should be large enough for you to part with soon but atleast maybe you can save the amount till the end of the notice? No one knows your finances better than you.
Sidenote this is why I don't spend my joining bonus until the return period is over.

There’s no scope for growth. A significant chunk of my CTC is locked up in variables and at this rate, I’m not even getting my full CTC. Some senior employees have told that they use this variable to communicate hard things and they never give it fully :(
