I’m not exactly a mechanical engineer. I completed BE Aeronautical Engineering in 2021(worst year for placements imo) from a tier 2 college. I interviewed with 4-5 “core” companies but they didn’t even publish the results…thankfully due to my decent projects and internships I got a design engineer role but the company is not so great and no growth opportunities there…so gave GATE and got admission in an IIT for Mtech..hoping for some good things….
Also I couldn’t find any community for people from Mech and allied domains like I see a lot for CS people…please share some if you know any like grapevine..

There isn't any bro, because there's no point as there aren't enough opportunities for the community to support anything unless you build the whole ecosystem. The previous gen has let us down. Maybe you'll have to build everything. Great that you got into IIT, and hope you build maybe the next skyroot or ather or support 50-100 such brands

I took BTech mechanical engineering in an NIT coz it was safe branch after the dot com bubble. But I was geek from before I even started engineering.
I topped the first sem Computer Programming class. Then finished mechanical with a 6GPA, Joined as a software developer via campus placement. completed 9 years last week at that organisation.
Now I make video games in my free time.

WOW, feeling alittle jealous ngl
