Making twice as much as my parents earned monthly
Yesterday while looking at my paycheck I realised I make twice as much as my parents salary, mind you my parents were in central government and both retired as class 1 officers and here me at 32 doubling my salary so early make me realise the education and platform they gave me took me this far and without that it would not be possible at all. I will be eternally grateful to them all my life for this and will certainly do the same to my child. It also highlights how wide the wage gap is there in India.

Kudos to you but don't compare as they lived in a different time and had different opportunities. The pay gap is huge in India but comparison with the same generation would make more sense.
Even a taxi driver earns more today than my dad was earning at the time of retirement from psu. We are in a gig economy where zero has little value
