Got into an accident last month. Some pickup driver rammed from the front, coming in the wrong lane. Got to know today that the car went to total loss. It was my first car, been only a few months. My precious.
Since that day, I've been thinking how lucky I am. I didn't get a single scratch. But also makes you think how easy it is to die. on the driver side a rod tore through the gate, if the rod had been a few inches higher or a bit longer, it would have torn through me, and everything I've worked upon, will work upon, all my relationships, all adventures, everything gone. How weird is it that everything we know is in our mind, all the memories, all the people, all the things, sun, the moon, the stars. And when we die a whole universe of things, die with us. And yet nothing changes in the world. It continues as if nothing happened. All that matters is you. Think about yourself, take the best care of yourself. You are the only thing you have.

What happened to the pickup driver?
So after hitting my car, he also hit a bike, there were 2 people on the bike, they were badly injured but thankfully survived. The pickup driver ran away from the spot leaving his phone and vehicle papers. The police seized all 3 vehicles involved in the accident. They were not doing anything for days so I had to bribe them so I could send my car for repair. Now i went to the police station a few days back and the pickup was also not there. There was a FIR registered against the pickup driver but as far as i know nothing happened to him so far. Police was the winner in the end, and made some money from all the parties.

I'm more grateful now. For money, i think i don't really spend much on luxuries, so not many changes there. I try to be more present now with my friends and family. I lost my job a while back, so i was stressed about it but since the accident I'm taking life slow for now. The whole point of me earning was to enjoy the free time like i have now, so enjoying till it lasts.
