Jobs after AI
I just wanted to initiate this conversation and collect different point of views from all professions.
My opinion is that I am in a generalist job and I feel 80% of the work is senseless if work done by my juniors is automated. If there are optimized control loops, AI will do it better than humans. There has not been layoffs in my company, but people who have left, their replacements have not been hired.
People usually move to the next frontier of knowledge.
Its like what happened to all the grazers or horse people after cars replaced them.
Luckily, the last change happened over a generation but in our case you adapt or perish.
Maybe too early to say the people left will be replaced with AI. What's your job?
