Is Saudi Arabia good place to work?
I got an offer from a Saudi company, I want to know on general how is the work culture in IT institute. What should I keep in mind before accepting the offer?
Modern day slavery dawg. The people that I know went there to get a good package, which they did. But first you gotta submit your passport to them. They’ll decide if and when to give it back to you, so you can go home.
A friend went there because the compensation looked very good But their life has not been very good since - they find it hard to do much there
They got a fancy villa etc to stay at, and work is fairly chill. But it’s the lack of friends/family/things to do around that got to them
You’re not as free as in India, and that can be very hard for most people
This is only once instance though
Like it’s not the same as being in Dubai, where you’ll find many more like minded people

I would ask you to check w more people though, since my only example is a very negative one unfortunately
Dont go there esp if u have a wife as she will ve to wear burka all the time she is out of room and abide by the rules like not going out alone or u smoke and drink. You can go to jail for a long time and no one on earth ll get to know about u and neither they can do anything even if they get to know
