Is Kolkata really a city of Joy?
I visited Kolkata last week and felt the city has a very sad vibe. I don't know if I'm the only one who felt like this but the city and the people really had a weird energy. Although some of the places are good, I found it unhygienic too.
Anyone who had similar experience there?
Yes I have visited 10 times, didn't even feel like staying there for more than 1 day. It is too dirty and the unhygienic city, everywhere only dust, even the trees are covered with dust and become brown. Taxis are unhygienic, too many refugees cluster near the railway station.
Yes, the yellow taxi experience was so bad. And the buildings are so old and in poor condition, even the sky seemed so dark. I never expected this as I had better image of Kolkata in mind through youtube and reels.
Except new town area which in OK Ok ..no other area is even fit to stay ..
Visited once in 2015, and I felt the same, sad vives everywhere.
Year it's bit dirty compare to other metro city but it has vibes in night light
