Is it hard for students w technical background to perform well in market research roles

I recently completed my B.Tech degree, and given the current job market, I'm considering taking on a marketing role to support my family financially. I'm curious if students with a technical background can excel in business roles.

I would suggest "always keep learning" about the market, make business friends , learn from them, make good connections, help them and they help you.
