Immediate Resignation During Maternity Leave
Hi, I recently received an offer and the HR has requested me to join within the next 15 days. However, I am currently on maternity leave.
I wanted to check if there is any possibility of getting an early release within this 2-week timeframe. Prior to my maternity leave, I was on the bench for about 3–4 months and not actively assigned to any project. I also have around 37 leaves available in my account.
Based on this situation, could anyone please advise if an early release is possible?

So what’s your plan? That you will join the new company and will again apply for maternity leave there? Have you discussed with that new org on this aspect?
My maternity leave gonna end this April 31st.. no first 2 months gonna be training as it's wfh its manageable
What is your notice period in your current organisation? I'm sure it is not 15days. Since you are already on maternity leave you may resign with immediate effect by providing them the reason due to some medical emergency during pregnancy. Regarding your new company-are you able to manage the work with a new born? Do they have a WFH option? If yes, then fine. About your leave balance-don't worry, you will get a leave encashment during your full & final.
