If you were forced to leave tech tomorrow, what non-tech job would you take up?
I am thinking about this a lot lately and trying to figure out what else I can do. Currently I feel like writing code and attending standups is the only real skill I have. Everyone I have asked about this say don't even think about leaving tech because no other field pays this well. I understand their view point. It aligns with what my parents think as well.
Is there anyone who has a solid backup plan in mind? Do you actually see yourself doing it? Is the pay cut far too severe? Does anyone have a completely different passion they would pursue?

People who were born and raised in cities especially those born to salaried employment parent., have absolutely no skill to survive. People coming from business background mostly know how to hustle and keep cash flow alive.
People in/from villages if they come from agri background, they are built different. But people coming from varied other backgrounds depending on cash flow will either put up a Kirana store or a food business.
ps: Am a kirana store level guy.

Chai/Samosa dukaan. I sit at cash counter and watch the kitchen and staff. My chai dukaan will have internet cafe, vouchers to AI tools and gaming stations. 4 floor building, top floor is fashion clothing and fashion accessories.
