I think once you force yourself into eating healthy food and make it a habbit, then automatically your cravings will decrease.

I remember I never had any cravings while in school, used to eat the same home-cooked without any complaints.

Couple of months back, I always used to have some cold drinks in my refrigerator and had developed an addiction. Now have reduced it to zero.

If you are addicted to junk food, then follow simple steps-

  1. First eat whatever you want for 7 Days but start doing atleast 30 mins to 1 hr of exercise.
  2. Start doing Meditation everyday.
  3. Uninstall all the food apps.
  4. Reduce your wasted screen time on watching shorts, videos and food videos etc.
  5. Have dinner before 8 pm.
  6. Now time to replace food - replace junk food with roti sabji, daal, rice, daal khichdi etc.

In the starting your mind make excuses to eat junk or fav food, but you have to talk to your mind that no enough, I am the person who want a healthy lifestyle. Junk food is giving some one else money destroying my health. and eat something healthy as soon as possible.

  1. Chew your food until it liquify in a mouth.
  2. Eat food without using phone or tv.
  3. Good for a walk.

Do this for only 21 days.

Be conscious about what you are eating.

Make a daily journal and start writing, it makes you feel super guilty to write down anything unhealthy.

Start looking for healthier alternatives for whatever you like eating the most, rather than cutting it in one go, gradually reduce the intake and then stop or have it once in a while.

Start reading labels of packed food and avoid maida and sugar at all costs.

P.S. the trick which worked for me was "do not buy it if you are going to regret while eating". Ex: you will crave cold drink, but if you do not have it at home and stop yourself for the time being, the craving goes away. So don't buy the stuff you don't want to consume.

I hope it helps.
